Our Team

Rich Maslar,
Owner and Founder

Rich Maslar is a master carpenter and has more than 25 years of experience in commercial and residential construction management. He started as an apprentice at the age of 15 and worked his way through all the trades, soaking up as much information as possible, earning his GC license at the age of 25. He began and ran his own business in Boston for 12 years and sold it before packing up his family and moving to Florida in 2004 to start Maslar Renovation and Design. Rich is a local homeowner and has two teenage daughters, who keep him very busy in sports and the community in his free time.

Kerri Plazza,
Purchasing Manager / Designer

Kerri Plazza joined the Maslar Renovation and Design team in the summer of 2021. She has over a decade of experience in the construction industry.

Kerri is the active President of the local chapter (Southwest Florida) of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). She has also received the 30 Under 30 award and multiple Badges from the NKBA. Kerri is responsible for job and budget management, purchasing, and design.

Leona Woodall,
Project Manager / CAD Design

Leona uses computer aided design principles and specialized software to create detailed 2D and 3D designs for our projects. She collaborates with others to establish timelines and budgets, as well as assist in problem solving.

Lisa Scott,
HR / Accounts Manager

Amanda Piazza,
Administrative Assistant

Amanda joined Maslar Renovation & Design in May of 2023. She assists in all areas of Administration. She is also responsible for obtaining Building Permits through the different municipalities, as well as scheduling all of the Inspections for your project. Amanda is also a Licensed Florida Insurance Agent (P & C). Her and her husband moved to Sarasota in 2014, where they enjoy spending time with their AKC registered boxer, Che Bella.
